Huskies are smaller (35-60 lb), bred to RACE — light loads at speed. Malamutes are larger (75-100 lb), bred to HAUL — heavy freight slowly. Mals are fluffier, more dominant, more dog-aggressive. Huskies are more vocal and slightly more sociable.
Both are small black-and-white-ish brachycephalic breeds. Frenchies have BAT ears (upright, rounded), are smaller-bodied (16-28 lb), heavier-headed, and have severe BOAS issues. Bostons have ROSE ears (taller, pointier), longer legs, leaner build (12-25 lb), and slightly less BOAS.
Mals are LEANER, smaller-headed, more athletic. GSDs are blockier with sloping back (show line) or straight back (working). Mals are more drive-y and harder to handle. The military uses Mals (Cairo who killed bin Laden was a Mal).
Labs have SHORT smooth coats; Goldens have MEDIUM-long, water-repellent coats. Labs come in black/yellow/chocolate; Goldens are gold/cream/red. Both are friendly family dogs but Goldens are slightly more sensitive emotionally.
